FedEx Freight is hiring a Transportation Representative to coordinate safe, timely freight movement and exceptional service for customers and ISPs. You’ll monitor shipments, manage routes, and resolve disruptions while staying aligned with DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role supports onboarding of owner-operators, cross-border shipments where applicable, and data-driven routing improvements. This is a hybrid position requiring residence within commuting distance of Akron, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of customer service, account management, sales, transportation, logistics, or related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems and freight operations.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, and transportation safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and monitor freight movement to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation service.
• Utilize transportation management systems to manage shipment execution, track freight, optimize routes, and maintain accurate shipment records.
• Proactively identify and resolve service disruptions, delays, and transportation issues while communicating status updates to customers, ISPs, and internal stakeholders.
• Dispatch and coordinate capacity, including overflow freight, to ensure customer requirements and service commitments are met.
• Collaborate with ISPs and drivers to maintain compliance with DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Support onboarding and training of new owner-operators on operational processes, technology, compliance requirements, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate cross-border shipments and ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and Canadian transportation regulations, where applicable.
• Monitor specialized transportation requirements, including temperature-controlled shipments and cold chain compliance.
• Analyze freight flow, route performance, and operational data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, service, and asset utilization.
• Partner with internal operations, safety, and analytics teams to implement routing improvements and support continuous operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
