Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, a leader in nationwide LTL, is seeking a team-oriented Freight Operations collaborator in Chicago. You will support day-to-day execution for transactional brokerage accounts, build loads, schedule appointments, and manage documentation for TL and LTL, ensuring service levels and timely escalations.

You will work with Sales reps, Carrier Ops, and Billing to resolve issues, maintain clear records, and deliver strong customer results while growing your career in logistics

Responsibilities

• Freight Operations: execute tendered loads across LTL/TL, build loads, schedule appointments, collect documents, quote standard TL/LTL rates
• Monitor load coverage, escalate to ensure high service levels and minimize misses
• Gain understanding of freight brokerage process and quote standard TL lanes by year end
• Maintain accurate load records with clear notes to enable smooth handoffs and auditability
• Resolve standard exceptions using SOPs and escalate only for high severity
• Maintain clear organization and documentation to reduce repeat issues
• Internal & Customer Communication: provide routine load updates and respond to basic support requests
• Keep sales reps and senior operators informed with structured updates on impact and next steps
• Coordinate with Financial Ops, Billing, and Carrier Ops to close accounting/carrier issues promptly
• Team Counterparts: collaborate with Sales, Central Operations Support, Billing, Carrier Ops, and Operations Manager for effective execution
