Job summary

Innovative Environments, LLC, a Houston-based design-build firm, is seeking a dependable Freight / Logistics Coordinator to manage domestic shipments and occasional international logistics. You will coordinate schedules, track shipments, and ensure paperwork and carrier relationships support on-time project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in freight coordination or warehouse logistics, and a forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in logistics, supply chain, or business a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in freight coordination, warehouse logistics, or as a shipping coordinator.
• Forklift certification with hands-on forklift experience required.
• Prior trade show or event logistics experience strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic freight, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Manage limited international shipments with required customs documentation.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, verifying secure loads and correct paperwork.
• Track shipments in real time, resolving delays or damages quickly.
• Load and unload deliveries and supplies from trucks.
• Manage small parcel shipping and receiving, and maintain accountability for deliveries.
• Build relationships with carriers, negotiate freight rates, and approve invoices.
• Collaborate with project managers, installers, and service technicians for smooth operations.

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Freight / Logistics Coordinator to manage and coordinate primarily domestic freight operations, with occasional international shipments.

In this role, you’ll help keep projects moving by coordinating shipments, managing shipping and receiving activities, communicating with freight carriers and vendors, and ensuring materials arrive where they need to be, when they need to be. What You’ll Do

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional weekends required)
• On-call support for urgent installer/carrier needs
• 100% non-climate controlled warehouse
