Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a qualified Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight within a multimodal terminal or warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate holds a valid forklift certification, 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience, and can communicate in English; schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, scanning and tracking freight, assisting drivers,

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification/licensure (or ability to obtain before operating equipment).
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize numbers, labels, barcodes, and freight markings accurately, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Willingness to learn and use handheld scanners and freight-tracking devices.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors, trailers, and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Scan and track freight to ensure documentation accuracy.
