Job summary

FedEx Freight in Ohio is seeking a dock/warehouse associate to move freight between the dock and trailers, supporting loading and unloading operations.

Starting pay is $21.78 per hour with early and late shifts (04:00–09:00 and 19:00–01:00). You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, verify freight documents, secure loads, assist customers, and perform hostling as required in a fast-paced dock environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle heavy freight.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Prior warehousing or dock experience preferred.
• Basic math and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify freight documentation matches description.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets and straps.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with all laws and company policies.
