Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC in Advance, NC, is hiring a Freight Records Specialist to manage and audit transportation documentation, ensure accuracy, and support logistics data integrity.

You will link warehouse, accounting, and logistics teams to reconcile inventory and delivery records while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–4:00PM on site.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-3 years in shipping, receiving, logistics, or administrative records management.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and logistics tracking/management systems.

Responsibilities

• Document Management: Process, review, and file shipping documents (bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customs declarations).
• Data Entry & Audit: Input shipment data—weight, freight charges, and item descriptions—into ERP or company databases.
• Dispute Resolution: Audit carrier invoices, identify overcharges or missing freight, and file claims.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure freight documentation meets federal, state, and internal regulations (DOT, OSHA, customs).
• Cross‑Functional Support: Communicate with truck drivers, 3PL providers, and customers to track deliveries and address transit issues.
