Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock associate to load and unload freight with a forklift or by hand, strap and pad cargo to prevent damage, and document freight conditions on arrival at the service center.

This role requires 17+ years old, basic education (GED or equivalent), and the ability to work all shifts with overtime as needed. Prior forklift certification is preferred and safety rules must be followed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Attend work regularly and on time.
