Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dependable dock associate in Ohio to load and unload freight using a forklift or manual handling equipment. You will strap and pad loads, document the freight condition on arrival, and perform pre/post-shift inspections of dock equipment.

Regular attendance is required and additional duties may be assigned. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 17+ years old, and the ability to lift 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years old
• Experience in transportation preferred
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and push/pull 70 lbs
• Must be able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight with forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at the service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment
• Maintain regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned as needed
