Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dockworker to load and unload freight with a forklift or by hand, ensuring proper strapping and padding to prevent damage. You will document freight conditions when it arrives at the service center and perform pre/post shift equipment inspections.

The role requires 17+ years of age, a GED/HS diploma, and forklift experience or certification where available. Weekend and overtime work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Stable employment history preferred
• Able to push/pull 70 lbs and lift ~70 lbs

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift or manual methods
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage
• Record freight condition on arrival at service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment
• Be available for all shifts, overtime, and weekends
