Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock associate to load and unload freight using forklift or manual methods at our California service center. You will strap and pad freight, document its condition on arrival, and perform daily equipment inspections.

The role requires lifting about 70 lbs, working various shifts, and maintaining reliable attendance. Prior forklift experience is preferred and compliance with safety rules is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background
• Must be 17+ years of age
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Stable employment history preferred
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred
• Able to lift/move about 70 lbs
• Able to work all shifts, including overtime/weekends
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at service center
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment
• Maintain regular attendance
