Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Sheboygan, WI is seeking a dependable dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack or by hand, and to strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage.

You will record freight conditions, perform pre/post-shift equipment checks, and maintain safety and attendance standards while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Overtime and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior operation of a forklift or forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more as required.
• Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning, etc.
• Must work all shifts, including overtime and weekends; dependable.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned in a fast-paced environment.
