Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift or hand truck, and to secure cargo to prevent damage. You will document the condition of freight on arrival at the service center and perform pre/post-shift equipment inspections.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, being at least 17 years old, and the ability to lift ~70 lbs. Forklift experience and willingness to work all shifts, including overtime, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Prior forklift experience or certification preferred.
• Ability to push/pull loaded pallets and lift ~70 lbs.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using forklift or manually.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record freight condition accurately on arrival at service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
