Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock/freight associate to load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or by hand. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and document freight conditions on arrival at the service center.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, be 17+, and willing to work all shifts including overtime and weekends. Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required, and U.S. work authorization is mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Prior forklift operation or certification preferred.
• Must lift 70 lbs. or more as needed.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight on arrival at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Employees may be asked to perform additional duties as needed.
