Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. in Louisville, KY is hiring a dock/warehouse associate to move freight across the dock area, load and unload to trailers, and help with documentation and customer assistance. You will operate motorized and manual equipment, verify freight details, and secure loads for safe transport.

Starting pay is $21.16 per hour. Shift time is 1730–2230. The role requires the ability to lift heavy items, work independently or as part of a team, and comply with safety and company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift freight and dock plates repeatedly.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
