Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate owner operators and third-party carriers for freight delivery.
• Monitor load readiness for dispatch from the distribution center and coordinate delivery times with receivers.
• Maintain compliance with driver hours of service regulations.
• Respond to interruptions in delivery schedules due to weather, road blocks, or equipment failure.
• Advise receiving locations of driver ETAs and re-route when needed to maintain on-time delivery.
• Enter load progress and delivery data in real time using company software.
• Assist Load Planner and match loads to drivers within policy constraints.
• Prepare routing and delivery instructions for third-party drivers and provide in-person orientation at tender.
• Maintain communications with Back Haul Coordinator to integrate back hauls into plans.
• Prepare daily, inbound, weather, and status reports and monitor vehicle locations and trailer status.
