Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Shoreview, MN for a direct-hire, in-office role. You will track and trace domestic freight shipments, schedule deliveries, gather shipment information, and coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.

The position requires strong Excel/Outlook skills, excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical abilities, and a proactive, team-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic freight forwarding/logistics or customer service.
• High School Diploma required; secondary education preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills; fast learner and able to work under stress.
• Geographical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace domestic freight shipments and loads in the system.
• Set specific dates and times for delivery, pickups and reschedules.
• Gather and document accurate information to ensure successful pickup or delivery of shipment.
• Work with vendors, agents, and carriers to provide services required/requested.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring that all manifests and orders are thoroughly documented.
• Customer specific reports in Excel.
• Enter shipments for dispatching, route shipments, track orders, and troubleshoot shipment issues.
• Order entry and price quoting.
• Mainly correspond with customers/carriers via incoming phone calls (40-70 calls/day) and a shared customer service email box.
