Job summary

Blue-Grace Logistics LLC is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage the end-to-end freight claims process, including filing, investigation, reconciliation, negotiation, and resolution. You will be the liaison between customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate claim handling while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires at least 2 years of logistics claims experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of logistics or supply chain experience, with direct freight claims experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of NMFC, carrier liability, and transportation regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate claim documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Manage a portfolio of customer claims assigned by the Senior Manager of Claims.
• Investigate shipment issues with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
• File and manage claims via the EZ Claims platform and keep records updated.
• Monitor activity and communicate status updates to customers and teams.
• Review denials for accuracy and escalate discrepancies.
• Negotiate with carriers for fair settlements.
• Provide claim reporting and trend analysis to leadership.
• Support process improvements and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain understanding of claims accounting processes.
