Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage all aspects of freight claims and act as the primary liaison with a third-party claims management vendor. The role ensures timely submissions, data accuracy, and continuous improvements across the claims process.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, or finance, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors aging freight claims and escalates issues when needed.
• Ensures timely claim submission, investigation, online entry, and retrieval of information for new claims.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects related to the freight claims process and outcomes.
• Follow freight claims through until resolution is made.
• Maximize Carrier’s recovery on freight claims.
• Assist in establishment and maintenance of targets and KPIs involving cargo claims and OS&D.
• Provide accurate data for statistical reports for management.
• Create and maintain performance reports for transportation service providers.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with the 3rd party claims management company.
• Communicate metric reports, status changes, and improvement opportunities clearly.
