Talon Logistics in New Albany, IN is seeking a motivated Freight Broker to join our growing transportation team. You will serve as the main liaison between shippers and carriers, coordinating shipments, negotiating rates, and ensuring on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in brokerage, logistics, or related sales, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of brokerage, logistics, transportation, or sales experience preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and driven to succeed.
• Experience with load boards such as DAT or Truckstop and proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments by matching loads with carrier partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers.
• Negotiate rates and provide exceptional customer service throughout the shipment process.
• Track shipments, resolve service issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify new business opportunities and help grow customer accounts.
