Job summary

JB Harris Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced Freight Broker to join our team as a liaison between shippers and carriers. You will manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and coordinate the movement of goods nationwide.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in logistics brokerage, strong negotiation and communication skills, proficiency with logistics software and MS Office, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years as Freight Broker/Logistics experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills required.
• Proficient with MS Office and logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers to meet freight needs.
• Negotiate contract terms and rates with carriers.
• Coordinate and manage transportation and movement of goods.
• Use logistics software to track shipments and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with freight regulations.
• Handle billing and invoicing for services.
• Identify and solve logistical problems to prevent delays.
• Maintain detailed transaction records.
