Dynamic Logistics Services (DLS) is hiring a Freight Broker to join our Granite City, IL and Hazelwood, MO brokerage team. You will bid on freight, source capacity, negotiate rates, and build lasting carrier partnerships across the country.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of freight brokerage/3PL experience.
• Experience bidding on freight.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
• Established carrier network relationships.
• Experience with truckload freight, both dry and refrigerated.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop relationships with carrier partners across the country.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates while maximizing profitability.
• Cover customer freight by securing reliable carrier capacity.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Communicate regularly with carriers, drivers, and internal teams.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed.
• Provide shipment updates and resolve service issues quickly.
• Maintain accurate load and carrier information in company systems.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier partners.
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
