Job summary

MaRRS Distribution & Logistics, part of the AIR Control Concepts family, is seeking a Freight Broker in Chesterfield, MO. In this role you will manage day-to-day brokerage operations, maintain carrier relationships, and ensure profitable shipment execution.

Candidates should have 2+ years of truckload dispatch or freight brokerage experience, knowledge of DOT regulations, and experience with Truckstop or DAT. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in truckload dispatch or freight brokerage operations.
• Solid understanding of DOT laws and transportation compliance.
• Experience using freight booking platforms (e.g., Truckstop, DAT).
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adapt to market changes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, self-starter with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier assignment, driver dispatching, and daily load execution.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to ensure reliable capacity.
• Negotiate carrier rates and manage costs in a dynamic freight market.
• Proactively track shipments and communicate updates to customers.
• Ensure compliance with DOT laws, regulations, and internal procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotes, and carrier performance.
