Qualifications

• 2+ years of freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation operations experience.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage full sales cycle.
• Strong understanding of truckload markets, carrier pricing, and freight operations.
• Experience using TMS software (McLeod, Mercury Gate, Ascend, or similar).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated, competitive, and driven to achieve results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a book of business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, and relationship development with shippers.
• Negotiate rates with customers and carriers to ensure profitability and service excellence.
• Manage shipments cradle to grave from quoting, booking, and dispatch to tracking and delivery confirmation.
• Develop and manage carrier relationships, ensuring reliable capacity and competitive pricing.
• Monitor freight movement, troubleshoot issues, and communicate updates to customers.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain accurate, timely data in the TMS.
• Meet and exceed weekly and monthly performance metrics.
