Freight Billing Specialist – Overland Park, KS

LHH is assisting with a search for a Freight Billing Specialist for a client in Overland Park, KS. We are looking for someone to work on‑site with pay starting at $25/hour and going up based on experience.

Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of freight audit and billing experience in addition to rebate management.

Role and Responsibilities

• Audit freight invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Resolve billing discrepancies and overcharges
• Analyze transportation cost trends; prepare reports and KPIs
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and carrier selection
• Administer vendor rebate claims and ensure timely collection
• Maintain rebate data in company database; report to leadership
• Support contract negotiations and prepare accruals

Requirements

• Experience in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
• 2+ years in rebates, freight auditing, or logistics analysis
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Enable, Power BI, or Tableau preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
