Job summary

New Era Cap, LLC. is seeking a Logistics Freight Auditor for a 6-month on-site assignment in Buffalo, NY. You will perform post-audit review of freight invoices, validate charges, and identify discrepancies. You will build dashboards and KPIs to drive cost savings and mode optimization, partnering with Finance, Distribution, and 3PL staff.

The role emphasizes data integrity, collaboration, and timely issue resolution, with hours 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, and on-site work at our Buffalo HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Two to four years of freight audit/analytics or logistics accounting experience.
• Experience analyzing freight spend and reporting KPIs across multiple modes.
• Familiarity with third-party Freight Auditing Company is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary post-audit review of freight invoices across Parcel, LTL, TL, and Freight Forwarder accounts.
• Validate invoiced charges against contracted rates and tariffs.
• Audit mode-specific charges including NMFC, reweigh/reclass inspections, detention, and accessorial fees.
• Identify and dispute billing discrepancies; track disputes and recoveries.
• Serve as primary contact with Freight Auditing Company on audit exceptions and invoice holds.
