Job description

Seeking a FREELANCE Account Director, Brand Entertainment with strong entertainment/development experience across television, feature film, and streaming. Must have proven track record of working with brands to develop and produce premium long-form entertainment with extensive knowledge of the entertainment landscape. Position is full-time starting May through October/November 2025. US Remote position with PST working hours required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess incoming materials (scripts, treatments, sizzles, films) and provide strategic POV based on brand objectives
  • Serve as lead development executive on current slate of projects which includes:
  • Developing and/or reviewing treatments
  • Generating writers, directors, production company, talent lists for projects in development
  • Evaluating cuts of films and providing creative notes to filmmakers
  • Identifying and providing strategic POV on potential distributors to pitch projects to
  • Developing pitch decks for distributors
  • Attending pitch meetings with distributors
  • End-to-end project management of all projects on slate from partner onboarding, production, through post-production, release, and marketing promotion
  • Closely manage production timelines and key milestones to ensure projects stay on track
  • Work with various client teams and external partners to develop and execute promotional support in advance of film launches
  • Oversee and manage festival/event premieres
  • Manage external producing partners and serve as main point of contact
  • Oversee development and production budgets
  • Interface with high-level executives across studios, streamers, production companies, networks, and talent agencies
  • Ensure brand objectives and guidelines are met across all executions
  • Lead internal and external status meetings
  • Manage internal team of creatives, producers, and project managers

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with creative executives in film
  • Experience in professional client relationship management
  • Deep understanding of entertainment industry dynamics
  • Proven ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
  • Experience with highly-matrixed organizations
  • Must have strong writing and excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to handle confidential information
