Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in business, finance, criminal justice or related field.
• Minimum four years in banking, fraud, deposit operations, payments, or related investigative experience; at least two years in direct fraud investigation.
• Demonstrated experience independently resolving complex fraud cases with risk-based judgment and documented decisions.
• Prior experience providing peer training, quality review, or workflow coordination preferred.
• Experience with ACH, wire, check, Zelle, online banking, or deposit-account fraud strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day-to-day operational resource for Fraud Analysts, clarifying procedures and supporting consistent decisioning without supervisory authority.
• Coordinate daily alert queues, case assignments, coverage, and priority escalations to support service levels.
• Independently review and disposition complex, high-risk, or escalated fraud alerts across ACH, wires, Zelle, online banking and checks.
• Analyze transaction activity, account history, customer behavior, device information to identify fraud or account takeover.
• Determine and execute actions within authority, including transaction approvals/rejections and blocks or returns.
• Document investigations and decisions to support internal controls, audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Coach and cross-train analysts on fraud typologies, procedures, and best practices.
