Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior ML engineer in Trust Engineering to drive long-term ML strategy and deliver production-grade capabilities. This role is remote in the USA, hands-on and expected to mentor other engineers while shaping a roadmap that spans multiple teams and platforms.

You will work with large-scale data, build and productionize ML models, and collaborate with product, security, and data science partners to quantify business impact and accelerate trust initiatives across the company.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience in applied Machine Learning.
• 2-3+ years working with LLMs and novel GenAI technologies.
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in CS/ML or related field.
• Strong programming (Scala / Python / Java/ C++ or equivalent) and data engineering skills.
• Deep understanding of Machine Learning best practices and relevant domains.
• Experience with AgenticAI, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute on the long-term ML technical vision and strategy for the Trust organization.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor to other ML and software engineers.
• Drive and deliver large-scale, multi-quarter ML initiatives across teams.
• Work with large scale structured and unstructured data to build and productionize ML models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to quantify business impact and drive engineering decisions.
• Hands-on develop, productionize, and operate ML models and pipelines.
