Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Franchise Operations Support Manager to oversee a portfolio of Central New York franchise locations. The role focuses on improving operations, boosting financial performance, and maintaining brand standards through field visits and coaching.

You will analyze performance metrics, support openings and onboarding, and partner with store leaders to implement practical improvement plans. A multi-unit background and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of day-to-day store operations and performance management.

Franchise Operations Support Manager

Location: Central New York

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 + annual bonus potential

Schedule: Full-time | Field-based | Exempt

Travel: Significant regional travel; mileage reimbursed

Sapphire Recruitment is partnering with a growing quick-service restaurant franchise organization to hire a Franchise Operations Support Manager.

This is a field-based role supporting a portfolio of franchise locations throughout Central New York. The Franchise Operations Support Manager will work directly with franchisees and store leaders to improve operations, strengthen financial performance, maintain brand standards, and support long-term business success.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced multi-unit restaurant, retail, district, or franchise operations professional who enjoys being in the field, coaching business owners, solving operational challenges, and driving measurable results.

What You’ll Do

• Support an assigned group of franchise locations through regular onsite visits, typically at least twice per month per location.
• Evaluate food quality, food safety, cleanliness, speed of service, customer experience, and overall brand compliance.
• Identify operational concerns and work with franchisees to develop practical action plans and follow through on improvements.
• Coach franchisees and store managers on operations, staffing, food preparation, portion control, customer service, and profitability.
• Conduct monthly business reviews focused on sales, labor, food costs, and other key performance indicators.
• Monitor weekly sales results, financial reporting, customer feedback, and online reviews.
• Identify underperforming locations early and develop targeted improvement strategies.
• Communicate corporate initiatives, promotions, menu changes, policies, and operational expectations.
• Support new franchisee onboarding, store openings, employee training, and manager development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of store visits, action plans, follow-up activity, and franchisee communications.
• Escalate significant performance, compliance, or operational concerns when appropriate.
• Support franchise renewals, required advertising programs, and consistent brand execution.

What We’re Looking For

• Multi-unit restaurant, QSR, retail, district management, or franchise operations experience.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day store operations, customer service, staffing, and performance management.
• Working knowledge of restaurant P&L statements, food costs, labor costs, sales, and operating metrics.
• Ability to coach, influence, and hold independent business owners accountable without having direct authority.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to turn operational findings into clear, achievable improvement plans.
• Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel extensively throughout Central New York.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Experience

• QSR, district management, or franchise field-support experience.
• Experience supporting approximately 8–15 restaurant or retail locations.
• Franchise compliance, operational audit, manager training, or new-store-opening experience.
• Familiarity with restaurant ordering or food-distribution platforms.
