Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Store Associate for our Roanoke, VA location. In this role you will assist customers, process framing orders, stock shelves, and operate the register while following SOPs to ensure quality, safety, and accurate transactions.

You will need basic computer and measuring skills and ideally retail experience, with opportunities to grow in a team focused on service and results.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
• Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience selling products and/or services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance to applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
• Deliver sales and production results.
• Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time.
• Operate cash register and ensure cash handling to standards.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate products and provide solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact with others in a positive and respectful manner.
