Job summary

Third Road Management, LLC. seeks a punctual, client-focused Fractional Accountant to support multiple clients with daily transactional accounting.

You will handle AR/AP, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger tasks, building strong client relationships while adapting to varied industries. We value independence, organization and communication skills, with remote-friendly schedules and opportunities to travel within the Chicago area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently with support from supervisor as needed.
• Excellent organizational skills, demonstrates ability to manage projects, and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible.
• Strong ability to manage relationships and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptable to numerous industries.
• Proficient with PC/Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel throughout greater Chicago metropolitan area to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in daily transactional accounting needs.
• Accounts Receivable: apply payments, record and collect receivables.
• Accounts payable: review invoices, ensure compliance with vendor agreements, obtain approvals, and code invoices.
• Reconcile bank, loan, credit card and general ledger accounts as needed.
• Assist client accounting team in balancing the General Ledger with a trial balance and reconciling entries.
• Perform filing or other duties as requested by client.
• Facilitate cash management as needed.
• Build strong relationships with the client and existing team.
