Job summary

Pivotal is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for multiple clients in Auburn, AL. You will report to the accounting manager and collaborate with our Financial Operations team to deliver accurate records.

This role requires familiarity with cloud-based accounting, QuickBooks Online, and Excel. We value confidentiality, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Accounting or finance background preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Post financial transactions to books using cloud accounting.
• Reconcile all accounts (banks, loans, credit cards).
• Prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports.
• Calculate and file sales tax returns and payments.
• Assist with 1040 and business returns as needed.
• Process payroll and handle client questions.
• Maintain organized records for multiple clients.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Communicate with clients and provide great service.
• Collaborate with accounting manager for timely reporting.
