Collins Aerospace seeks a highly skilled FPGA Verification Engineer II to join its Applied Research and Technology (ART) Microelectronics Technology team. Your work will advance defense solutions across Mission Systems, applying chip‑level verification for high‑performance digital FPGAs.

The role emphasizes SystemVerilog/UVM, testbench creation, RTL verification, and collaboration with design engineers, with opportunities to mentor juniors and contribute to program estimates.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• Experience developing and simulating RTL designs using VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Design, implement, and execute verification testbenches for RTL blocks.
• Knowledge of chip-level verification methodologies and assertion-based verification.
• Proficiency with revision control tools (Git, Subversion).

Responsibilities

• Verify environments and design using SystemVerilog with UVM/UVM-F.
• Create test plans, test cases, code coverage and functional coverage tracking.
• Develop testbenches for RTL blocks using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Collaborate with design engineers on FPGA solution integration and validation.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and potentially lead project verification teams.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for new programs.
