Job summary

RTX in Huntsville is seeking an FPGA Electrical Engineer II to develop FPGA designs targeting AMD, Altera, and Microchip devices. You will work on gigabit interfaces, RF/EO DSP, embedded processing, and processor interfaces.

Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers from requirements through production release. Requires Master's in Electrical Engineering or STEM and hands-on FPGA experience; DoD security clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Masters in Electrical Engineering or STEM or related degree
• Experience or coursework in Digital Design and HDL coding
• Knowledge of FPGA timing constraints and timing closure
• Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications
• Familiar with Linux and command line tools
• Experience with image processing or radar/IR sensors is a plus
• Strong scripting (Python/C) and embedded processor development
• Experience with AXI, PCIe, SPI, I2C interfaces

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families
• Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, architecture, modeling
• Verify designs with directed tests and constrained random methodologies
• Provide design documentation and configuration management through production release
