Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer II for its Tucson, AZ location. You will design and develop next-generation CCAs and FPGA-based solutions using AMD, Altera, and Microchip architectures, powering RF, EO DSP, and embedded interfaces.

Collaborate across systems, mechanical, and software teams throughout the lifecycle. The role requires a Master’s in a STEM field, hands-on HDL experience, and proficiency with test equipment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field; degree by start date.
• Experience or coursework in digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, digital design, or HDL targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience with electronic test/measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs) for characterization and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations.
• Model digital algorithms and partition design functions; write high-reliability embedded code.
• Select components, capture schematics, simulate circuits; assist with layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware in a lab using advanced test instrumentation against requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, reports, and configuration management across the lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from requirements to production release.
