Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal FPGA Engineer in Huntsville for leading FPGA design across vendors (AMD/Xilinx, Altera, Microchip). Role requires designing, verifying, and documenting FPGA solutions for high-assurance applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The position is onsite in Huntsville with relocation assistance. A security clearance (DoD Secret) is required or able to obtain; strong HDL and system-level FPGA skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years FPGA experience.
• Experience architecture and design for FPGA-based systems.
• Proficient HDL coding and timing constraints; capable of debugging.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA design from concept to production release.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams.
• Verify designs with directed and constrained random tests; track coverage.
• Create comprehensive design documentation and reviews.
• Support integration and production release.
