Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I to design and develop next-generation circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and FPGA-based solutions. You will work across gigabit interfaces, RF/EO DSP, embedded controllers, and processor interfaces in an agile, cross-functional team.

This role is onsite at the Tucson location with responsibilities spanning from architecture to production release, requiring collaboration with systems, mechanical, and software engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related STEM field by start date.
• Experience or coursework in digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, HDL coding.
• Experience using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters) for validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital architecture and FPGA implementations for configurable logic devices.
• Model algorithms, partition design functions, and write reliable embedded code.
• Select components, capture schematics, simulate circuits, and assist layout.
• Integrate and validate hardware in lab with advanced test instrumentation against requirements.
• Maintain design docs, reports, and configuration management throughout lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements to production release.
