Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Digital Electrical Engineer II to design and develop next-generation CCAs and FPGA-based solutions, powering mission-critical applications across RF, EO DSP, embedded controllers, and processor interfaces. Qualifications

• Master's degree required by start date.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience using common electronic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs).
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations targeting configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability code for embedded processing systems.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on physical layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a laboratory environment using advanced test instrumentation against rigorous system requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management artifacts throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from initial customer requirement definition through formal production release.
