Base pay range

$83.00/hr - $88.00/hr

We are seeking an FPGA Design Verification Engineer to join our dynamic team in Azure Core, working on the Storage and Networking group. This role will contribute to the development of FPGAs that accelerate storage and networking flows as part of a high-impact project externally known as "Azure Boost."

In this role, you'll engage in design verification for complex IPs and sub-systems essential to modern FPGAs. Your work will directly contribute to innovation in cloud infrastructure by improving speed and performance through advanced hardware acceleration technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed verification test plans for IP blocks and sub-systems.
• Create UVM-based simulation environments, including testbenches, checkers, and functional coverage.
• Write assertions and reusable components for verification.
• Perform simulations, regression runs, and thorough debugging using waveform analysis and log tracing.
• Conduct coverage analysis and work towards complete closure.
• Analyze project planning information and collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution.
• Build and modify prototypes using computer simulation models.
• Evaluate system constraints, reporting requirements, and security protocols to define hardware configurations.
• Monitor equipment and make technical adjustments to ensure conformance to design specifications.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
• Deep proficiency in UVM testbench development and maintenance.
• Strong command of System Verilog, especially in a recent hands-on capacity.
• Solid debugging skills, especially using waveform tools and logs.
• Working knowledge of Verilog RTL and ASIC/FPGA verification techniques.
• Familiarity with AMBA AXI protocol is a plus.
• Background in hardware design and experience with simulation-based verification methodologies.

Note: Candidates lacking hands-on experience with System Verilog or UVM, particularly in testbench creation and test development, will not be eligible.
