Job summary

RTX is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer II to develop FPGA designs across major vendors, implementing VHDL for RF, EO DSP, data links, and embedded processing. You will collaborate with circuit-card designers and systems engineers from requirements through integration, testing, and documentation.

Candidates should have 2+ years in STEM, VHDL/Verilog experience, and familiarity with Xilinx or Microsemi devices. This on-site role includes DoD clearance readiness and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog coding.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept up to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system level requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs using directed and constrained random tests with coverage tracking.
• Help drive projects and meet program schedules on time and budget.
• Create complete documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
• May lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• May support internal and external technical reviews.
