Job summary

RTX is seeking an FPGA Engineer II in McKinney, TX for onsite work. The role involves full lifecycle support of FPGA designs across major vendors (AMD Xilinx, Altera, Microchip) with emphasis on VHDL/Verilog coding, architecture work, and verification.

The team focuses on electronics subassemblies for missiles, radars, and EW systems. Active DoD Secret clearance is required, and relocation may be offered based on eligibility.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience with FPGA/ASIC design or verification in a lab environment.
• Experience with AMD Xilinx, Altera, Microchip devices and tools such as Vivado/Quartus/Libero.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle support of production FPGA designs for major vendors.
• Generate FPGA designs for gigabit interfaces, RF DSP, data links, embedded processing.
• Assist with architecture development of FPGA-based systems and CONOPS.
• Design and code in VHDL/Verilog for reliability and maintainability.
• Document requirements, verification plans, and user guides.
