Job summary

RTX is seeking an FPGA Electrical Engineer II in Huntsville to develop FPGA designs for major vendors, including AMD, Altera, and Microchip. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to translate requirements into architecture, models, and verified implementations.

Responsibilities span from requirements through production release, with emphasis on HDL coding, digital design, and embedded processing within a Linux environment. A strong FPGA background is essential.

Qualifications

• Masters in Electrical Engineering or STEM field.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Design and HDL coding for configurable logic devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs for AMD, Altera, and Microchip devices.
• Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers on requirements and architecture.
• Model algorithms, partitioning, code development, simulation, and place-and-route.
• Verify designs against requirements using directed tests and constrained random methods.
• Provide design documentation and configuration management through production release.
