Job summary

RTX in Huntsville is seeking an FPGA Electrical Engineer I to develop FPGA designs for multiple device families, including AMD, Altera, and Microchip. You will collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers from requirements through production release.

The role requires a DoD security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and onsite work. Strong HDL, digital design, and FPGA tooling experience are preferred; Linux familiarity and scripting skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM or related field.
• Experience or coursework in Digital Design and HDL targeting configurable logic devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs for major vendors and device families (AMD, Altera, Microchip).
• Collaborate with circuit card designers and systems engineers to define requirements and architecture.
• Document design and provide verification through directed tests and constrained random methods.
