Placements24 is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager for a growing regional retail group with operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on leading budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and strategic financial analysis to drive performance.

The ideal candidate will translate complex data into actionable insights, partner with department heads, and help shape major investment decisions in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, CFA) is highly desirable.
• 6+ years in FP&A, budgeting, and reporting roles.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas and dashboards (VBA).
• Experience with ERP/FP&A tools (SAP BPC, Anaplan).

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain robust financial models for scenario planning.
• Analyze performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances.
• Prepare management reports, board presentations, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand business needs and guide financial decisions.
• Develop and track KPIs across the business.
• Assist in evaluating investments and capex proposals.
• Streamline FP&A processes and reporting capabilities.
• Mentor junior finance team members.
