Job summary

REI Co-op is hiring a Finance Manager to drive profitability in the Digital channel and oversee FP&A, budgeting and forecasting. You will partner with the VP of Digital and other leaders to provide strategic finance support and insightful business cases.

Responsibilities include leading annual budgets, long-range plans, scenario analysis, and financial storytelling to executive teams, while coaching staff and ensuring compliance with REI priorities.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of financial planning and analysis experience in Finance.
  • Digital/e-commerce acumen with 3+ years supporting an e-commerce business.
  • Strategic finance and analytical leadership with proven success executing a corporate-wide budget cycle.
  • Experience with SAP or an equivalent planning and ERP system; SQL is preferred; project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis for the Digital business, managing one direct report and partnering with Digital leadership to drive annual budgeting, strategic planning, and financial decision-making aligned with REI's enterprise priorities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize strategic investments through rigorous financial analysis, including NPV, IRR, and scenario modeling.
  • Develop forecasts, analyze financial performance, identify risks/opportunities and key business drivers for leadership teams.
  • Lead monthly business reviews, explain variances, refine forecasts, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and systems.
  • Oversee critical financial deliverables, including Cost-to-Serve and Channel P&A reporting, while serving as a trusted finance partner to Digital leadership.
  • Develop business cases and post-implementation analyses to measure investment outcomes, leveraging data from SAC, SAP, BW, and CDW.

This Finance Manager role contributes to REI's success by driving profitability improvement in the Digital channel in addition to core FP&A responsibilities of planning, forecasting and analysis. You will provide strategic finance support to the VP of Digital and help leaders make fact- and finance-based decisions.

Partner with Digital leadership to evaluate and prioritize strategic investments, providing financial insights and business case support for key initiatives. Lead financial planning activities, including annual budgets, long-range strategic plans, forecasts, and performance analysis. Evaluate investment opportunities, monitor financial results and key performance indicators, and serve as a trusted finance partner and strategic advisor to the Digital organization.

  • Coach, guide and develop employees while making effective staffing decisions.
  • Conduct and ensure the completion of performance reviews.
  • Ensure employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
  • Monitor operational statistics, report trends and variances, and take appropriate action.

  • Oversee critical financial deliverables, including Cost-to-Serve and Channel P&A reporting, while serving as a trusted finance partner and advisor to Digital leadership.
  • Develop business cases and post-implementation analyses to measure investment outcomes, leverage data from SAC, SAP, BW, and CDW, and provide financial expertise on complex business and operational decisions.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of financial planning and analysis experience in Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a similar field.
  • Digital/e-commerce business acumen, including 3+ years supporting an e-commerce business.
  • Strategic finance and analytical leadership with proven success executing a corporate-wide budget cycle.
  • Effective leadership, supervision and interpersonal skills, including experience assigning work, coaching employees and evaluating work performance.
  • Experience with SAP or an equivalent planning and enterprise resource planning system. SQL experience is preferred, along with demonstrated project management skills.

Pay Range

$113,200.00 - $181,100.00 per year
