Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Principal, FP&A — Development to own the financial view of our development portfolio from estimate to completion. You will publish recurring reports, build cost models, and partner with Corporate Development and Energy Origination.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration in our Miami HQ and the use of AI tools to automate insights. You will lead dashboards and data workflows, coordinate with multiple teams, and travel ~10% to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years in FP&A, project finance, cost estimating, or portfolio analytics for large capital projects.
Strong analytical skills with portfolio analysis, cost estimating, budgeting and lookback analyses.
Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
Able to own end-to-end project lifecycle with minimal supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

Publish recurring development-portfolio reports—budgets, forecasts, spend, variances with weekly/monthly cadence.
Perform portfolio-level analysis across projects: capital deployment, cost trends, benchmarking, scenario analysis.
Build dashboards in Power BI/Tableau; improve reporting to be self-serve and current.
Own cost estimates at each stage; track through execution and perform estimate-vs-actual analyses.
Partner with Corporate Development and Energy Origination; reconcile data across PMIS and NetSuite.
Support monthly close, accruals, and capital reporting with Accounting.
Use AI tools to accelerate analysis and automate workflows; travel ~10% to project sites.
