Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Principal, FP&A — Development to own the financial picture of our development portfolio from initial estimates through project completion. You will publish recurring reporting on the portfolio, build and maintain cost estimates, and act as a trusted finance partner to both Corporate Development and Energy Origination teams.

This analytically demanding role requires strong ownership, advanced modeling in Power BI/Tableau, and the use of AI tools to accelerate insights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of FP&A, project finance, cost estimating, or portfolio analytics experience.
• Strong portfolio analysis, budgeting, and estimate-vs-actual capability.
• Excellent communication skills to publish polished reporting.
• Ability to own an entire project lifecycle with autonomy.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Publish recurring reports on development portfolio budgets, forecasts, and spend.
• Perform portfolio-level analyses and scenario/sensitivity studies.
• Build dashboards in Power BI/Tableau; provide self-serve insights.
• Own cost estimates across project lifecycle and reconcile with actuals.
• Partner with Corporate Development and Energy Origination on planning and close.
