Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division seeks a Foundry Utility Worker for the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) in the Syracuse, NY area. The role involves grinding, mold handling, and material transport in iron and non-ferrous foundry operations, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of manufacturing experience. Local candidates within 50 miles only; sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate in iron and non-ferrous foundry areas, supporting grinding room operations.
• Grind castings, use band saws, dump and shakeout molds, and pour molds.
• Transport materials with forklift/payloader and operate power vac.
• Assist molder with machine setup and perform minor maintenance.
• Detect and report defective materials and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow safety regulations and escalate unusual situations.
