Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division in Syracuse, IN is seeking a Foundry Utility Worker on the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm). The role supports iron and non-ferrous foundry operations, grinding, and material handling.

The position pays $20.55 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential, with full benefits and opportunities for growth. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least three months of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• No relocation benefit; local candidates within 50 miles only.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in Iron and Non-Ferrous Foundry areas and grinding room operations.
• Operate band saws, dumping and shakeout molds, and fork trucks as needed.
• Assist molder in machine setup and clean work areas; operate shot blast equipment; repair pouring ladles.
• Operate automatic floor sweeper and perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Detect and report defective materials and refer to supervision as required.
• Maintain clean and orderly foundry area and follow safety regulations.

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Foundry Utility Worker - 2nd shift. The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $20.55 + $1.50 shift differential per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the Iron and Non-Ferrous Foundry areas and in support of the grinding room operation following standard procedures or specific instructions.
• Duties will involve grinding large and small castings, use of band saws, dumping and shakeout molds, hook off and shovel castings, pouring molds, transporting metal, core knockout, transporting materials and/or equipment with either fork truck, payloader, or operation of power vac.
• Assist molder in machine set-up and clean assigned areas, operate shot blast cleaning equipment. Repair pouring ladles.
• Operate automatic floor sweeper.
• Perform minor maintenance duties such as tightening loose parts (spray nozzles, etc.), replacing parts (sprues, etc.).
• Detect and report all defective materials; refer questionable cases to proper supervision.
• Grinding Room duties include sort, clean, move castings and materials as required; operate shot blast cleaning equipment and fork trucks as required; sweep and clean area as directed; maintain equipment and area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.
• Refer unusual or questionable situations to proper supervision.

• High school diploma or GED
• A minimum of (3) three months manufacturing experience.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LOCATION (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
