Job summary
Metal Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in Auburn, NY to perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment including molding machines, furnaces, pumps, and electrical panels. The role requires troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and the ability to read schematics.
The position offers competitive hourly pay with a second shift premium and comprehensive benefits; tools and uniforms are provided, along with education reimbursement and strong safety
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of green sand foundry practices preferred.
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Industrial maintenance courses/journeyman preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related systems and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems to locate and fix the problem.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free of hazards.
- Perform preventive maintenance per program.
- Operate hand and power tools to make repairs.
- Install machinery and electrical systems to support foundry equipment.
- Read and follow schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Inspect premises, conduct routine maintenance, and document inspections and repairs.
- Comply with safety and PPE requirements.
